Energy efficiency, the starting point for R&D

That is why our R&D team analyses each of the markets in which we are present and develops measures to ensure that our equipment (cabinets, counters, freezers, and coolers for display and storage) is the most advanced in the sector in terms of sustainability.

  • Introduction of digital thermostats with Wi-Fi control

A new cabinet, counter and blastchiller line has been introduced to the 2022 catalogue and feature a high-tech temperature control system. This system allows refrigeration units to be monitored and controlled using a Wi-Fi connection. Once the unit is connected, it is possible, among other things, to switch the unit on or off remotely, record its operating data or control any substantial changes in temperature.

By law, a record must be kept of the temperatures of food-preservation equipment. This is a clear, convenient way to obtain daily records of the equipment.

  • High-efficiency fans and compressors

We use high-efficiency fans and compressors that reduce energy consumption by 10% to 20% compared to the standard. We believe that the first step to being more efficient is choosing the best manufacturing components on the market to minimise the energy consumption of our refrigeration equipment.

  • High temperatures and cabinet door open alarms

Rightway equipment has been designed with a “high-temperature alarm” and a “open-door alarm” to alert staff when a refrigerator or freezer is not operating at the correct temperature.

This alarm also helps to save energy by detecting whether the cabinet is running at the right temperature, or for example too hot or isn’t closed properly, which helps to reduce electricity consumption.

  • Superior insulation layer on top of standard cabinets, refrigerated counters and saladettes.

Among other eco-sustainable features, our professional cabinets, counters and saladettes have a thicker layer of cyclopentane foam insulation compared to the standard layer. This ensures proper preservation of food, keeping energy consumption to a minimum, and allows our units to consume less energy while ensuring food is stored properly.

  • Optimised packaging

At Rightway Asia we reduce the amount of material needed for each item leaving our factory, thereby reducing costs and environmental impact in the supply chain. Our aim is to reduce the amount of plastic used, while ensuring that equipment is properly protected to avoid incidents during transportation and handling.

  • Natural refrigerants R290 and R600a

Our professional equipment uses natural refrigerant gases such as R290 and R600a, which is key to reducing CO2 emitted into the atmosphere and reducing the global greenhouse effect.

In fact, at Rightway Asia, we were pioneers in adapting our wide range of products to the new generation of refrigerants even before the F-Gas regulation came into force in 2016.
